Major League Gaming (MLG) is the largest League for professional gamers. MLG is taking competitive video games to the next level in making it a spectator sport. MLG holds competitions each year in a variety of video games. Their competitions are featured on major sports networks such as ESPN so you know that its getting big. As many people think of gaming as not serious or childish MLG takes them very seriously. MLG top games include: Halo: Reach, Super Smash Bros Brawl, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, and Starcraft 2. These are the games that get the most attention but MLG has many other games that they hold competitions for such as Tekken 5, Gears of War, and Rainbow Six games. I would say that Halo competitions get the most attention. ESPN broadcast the National Championship for Halo Reach and Halo 3 each year. Contenders for Halo competitions include Carbon, Instinct, and Str8 Rippin. Starcraft games are also very popular when it comes to professional gaming.
